Over the weekend two teams from TRIYA competed at the Secondary Schools Central North Islands 420 Team Sailing regionals.
This three day event saw schools from Wellington to Tauranga, Napier to New Plymouth, compete against each other, with a total of 175 races being sailed over the duration of the weekend.
The Wellington College team put in a stellar effort to finish 2nd overall, just one point behind the reigning champions Napier Boys High School. The Scots-Rongotai combined team finished 13th, winning a sportsmanship award in the process.
Both teams had a blast in the light conditions and learnt a lot! They will be competing in the upcoming Nationals in New Plymouth this April.
