Virtual Voyage: Lyttleton Arrival

 Virtual Voyage

Bence and The Wasp have arrived in Lyttleton to complete their second virtual voyage challenge!

Arriving on Monday 10 March, 34 calendar days after virtually setting off from EBYMBC.

Because I'm a numbers guy, I had to provide some statistics for his trip:

  • 34 calendar days
  • 17 sailing adventures
  • Average of 11.3Nm per day on the water
  • 38.18Nm - furthest travelled in 1 day
  • Total distance of 192.5Nm covered

As the season is creeping to an end, we are sending them off on another short adventure, his time tracking the Cook Strait Ferries with a trip to Picton.

As for the combined efforts, the total club effort sees us just passed Milford Sound and approaching Fiordland National Park.

The Keelboats are at East Cape, while the Trailer Yachts are east of Cape Brett.

The photo was taken Bence took when he arrived in "Lyttleton", which looks very similar to Seaview Marina :).

Don't forget, you can still get involved with the Virtual Voyage Challenge here.
